CROSSFIT LESSON PLANNING
CROSSFIT SPOT THE FLAW
What can I say about myself? In my youth I played soccer, baseball, football, ran track, wrestled, and was a sponsored BMX Racer. My life was filled with sports (baseball and BMX always being the main highlight reel).
I wrestled in high school in the 148lb weight class and by the age of 21 or so I was working in corporate America, tipping the scale at closer to 242lbs. As a former athlete it was time to make changes.
I explored the world of bodybuilding, climbing, rec sports (lots of tourney league softball), snowboarding, and finally "discovered" CrossFit in 2010-2011. I was hooked immediately. At first I said, "how will I learn all these new skills?" Then I said, "how will I be strong enough to RX all of this?". And then, "I want to compete".
I earned my first certs, the USA Weightlifting and CrossFit Level 1 back in 2013 and it's been non stop forward momentum ever since. I competed in many small local events and have had the opportunity to CrossFit in Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and I don't even remember where else.
It's the best of all worlds. It's a game, it's a sport, its competitive, it's fun, and it's filled with a fantastic community of friends and soon-to-be friends. Best of all, its improving my physical and mental health on a daily basis and giving me skills to last the rest of my life.
