Blake grew up an athlete, as a select league soccer player his entire life.  He discovered the barbell shortly after high school and found he had an uncanny knack for the game, squatting 365lbs only 3 months after learning how to squat.

The whiteboard, stop clock, and competitive nature of CrossFit was a natural next step for Blake who could parlay his past competitive sports experience into his new love for barbells and continue to develop himself as an athlete.
